Show Crew

These are the people who are responsible for the production of Brass Chuckles Comedy.

More coming soon!

Tamale Sepp-  After earning her BS in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Technology Management from the University of Arizona, Tamale wanted to focus on her first love- comedy.  She moved to Chicago and went through I.O. Chicago, Second City’s Conservatory Program, and Annoyance Theater.  She was up to her neck in comedy and was loving every minute.  Trouble was, there were all these other fun things to do and explore that kept catching her eye.

She began performing burlesque with the Sissy Butch Brothers Burlesque, Lavender Cabaret, Angela Eve, and Varietease Cabaret.  She travelled far and wide with the international gender performance troupe, Windy City Blenders and began performing drag with members of the Chicago Kings at events like the International Drag King Extravaganza (IDKE) and The Great Big International Drag King Show (“The Great Big”).  Somewhere along the way, she picked up fire dancing, performing with members of SPUNN, Pyrotechnique, and Temple of Poi.  The serpentine moves of tribal belly dancing seduced her and she began incorporating them into her performances, taking classes with Read My Hips and KC Mendicino.  She began playing with installation and multi-disciplinary art, earning her MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts and Media from Columbia College Chicago.  Following graduation, she began working with Brigid Murphy (creator of Milly’s Orchid Show) writing personal narrative work.

Through all this exploration, comedy was there all along- showing up in everything she did.  Finally Tamale decided that it was time for a show… a comedy show that showcased all these interests and the amazing people she loves to play with, hence Brass Chuckles.  Contact her at tamale@brasschucklescomedy.com.

Shaun Clayton- “Shaun is a God. Not an angry and vengeful God, but a friendly one.” – Max Cannon, Red Meat cartoonist.

“Shaun’s got a unique comedic voice that begs to be challenged.” – Shipherd Reed, Arizona Daily Star .
I grew up in Tucson, Arizona, but am now a resident of Chicago, Illinois. I got a Bachelor’s from the University of Arizona, double-majoring in Media and Theatre Arts. While there I interned at Late Night With Conan O’Brien. Yes, that was very cool.  I write for Topless Robot, the self-proclaimed “nerd news, humor and self-loathing” website.  I am paid a King’s Rounding Error to do so, which is still very cool.  My standard job is working for Groupon.  I create a variety of films, some of which have won minor awards.  I occasionally do paintingsas well, some of which get auctioned off for charity events.  I also do some stand-up and improv performances here and there.  I am generally pleasant to be around.  Contact him at shaun@brasschucklescomedy.com.

More on the way!

Brass Chuckles Comedy would like to extend a very special thanks to the below people.  They help to make it possible!

John Dart Photography

John is one very talented man who takes photos that will blow your mind right out of your shapely noggin’.  An amazing photographer and a dear friend, if you are lucky enough to hire him for your event, you will love his work.  A very special thank you to John Dart for his amazing work and overall loveliness.

Laugh Out Loud Theater

Laugh Out Loud Theater keeps Chicago’s northwest suburbs laughing with a variety of comedy offerings.  Check them out for opportunities to learn improv comedy, and to enjoy a night on the town with some super funny people!  We would like to extend our thanks to Lillie Frances for supporting us with some sweet coaching to keep our improv sharp!

Parlour on Clark

Parlour on Clark has been very generous to Brass Chuckles Comedy, opening early to allow Cody and Jeb to come in and film.  We needed a friendly place that would allow Jeb and Cody to be comfortable, as they are a couple of handsome fellas and tend to get some attention from the ladies.  Special thanks to Christine Calhoun for opening early to accommodate us after late nights of working her fingers to the bone!

Kevin Fitzpatrick

Kevin has worked hard to capture the shows using his mad skillz.  We thank him for making time in his busy schedule to help us video the shows and for being such an amazing resource!

Dan Castro

Dan has helped out Brass Chuckles by taking pictures of our amazing talent, capturing their awesomeness in the moment.  We thank him for his time and energy!
